At the Denman Homestead, there is always a bustling hive of activity! Our days are filled with the joy and chaos of raising our three amazing children, who bring laughter and adventure to every corner of our lives. Alongside the joyful chaos, we embark on various homesteading endeavors that keep us connected to the land and self-sustainability.

One of our regular tasks involves checking up on our bee hives, tending to their needs, and ensuring their health and productivity. We take great pride in nurturing these incredible creatures and cherishing the sweet rewards of their labor - the golden honey that graces our table and enriches our lives. Who could resist a cool glass of mead made fresh from our honey?

Our flock of chickens is another cherished aspect of our homestead. We tend to their needs, providing them with a comfortable and safe environment where they can freely roam and flourish. Not only do they provide us with fresh eggs daily, but they also remind us of the importance of responsible animal care and the beauty of a symbiotic relationship with nature.

As the seasons change, we find ourselves knee-deep in the abundance of our garden. From planting seeds to nurturing the plants, we enjoy the process of growing our own food. And when harvest time arrives, we (mostly Buddy and myself ha!) harvest our produce and turn our kitchen into a canning and preserving haven. The colorful jars line our pantry shelves, filled with the vibrant flavors of summer and the promise of nourishment throughout the year.

In our quest for self-sufficiency and natural living, we have ventured into crafting our own cosmetics. Harnessing the power of herbs, oils, and natural ingredients, we create skin-nourishing products that are both gentle and effective. It's a fulfilling journey of discovery and creativity as we explore the world of homemade skincare and strive for a more sustainable and mindful approach to self-care.

And of course, we indulge in the art of winemaking. From the careful selection of our home grown fruit to the patient process of fermentation and aging, we immerse ourselves in the craft of producing our own wine. It's a labor of love that allows us to savor the fruits of our labor while celebrating the beauty and richness of the land.
