Week 40 — “Prepare Before the Storm”

Scripture: “The prudent see danger and take refuge…” — Proverbs 27:12 (NIV)

Reflection: Life gives subtle warnings — the kind we often ignore because we’re busy or hopeful things will sort themselves out. But wisdom listens to those nudges and prepares in advance. Preparation isn’t fear; it’s stewardship. When we take steps to anchor our spirit before the storm hits, we walk through it more peacefully.

The Homestead Take Away: Before winter, the homestead is secured: food stored, shelters reinforced, supplies ready. Preparation brings peace long before the storm arrives.

Prayer: God, help me recognize the signs and prepare my heart wisely for what’s ahead. Amen.
